My husband and I have just discovered we can go away in mid December for 3 days.
I want to travel the world in 3 days as I'm worried this will be our last holiday ever!!
Any tips on where to go abroad that's not too far but where we can find an adventure, some fun and maybe a little bit of sunshine??

Marrakesh?

Not too far on the plane, exotic and romantic and defiantly sunny. :)

Ps - you can definitely holiday after little one is here. Under a year old they are pretty portable and you don't really have to consider their opinions as they are happy wherever you are (and you don't pay for their flight til they are 3!)

Istanbul? Might not be too sunny though. I loved it when we went, and the main sights are very close together so can be covered easily in a couple of days.

Make sure you choose somewhere that will have plenty of food preggo ladies can eat! I went to Spain when I was around 19 weeks and it was all cured meats, shellfish & booze!

I'd choose somewhere on the med though where you can just relax by the beach and enjoy nice cafes. After stomping around Barcelona sightseeing all day I cried every night from exhaustion - so I'd keep it simple and relaxing - I find city breaks too busy and tiring especially for a pregnant lady.

Maybe Dubrovnik might be a good mix though - some cool architecture and some nice beach.

ENJOY!

MALTA!

Lovely island, friendly people, nice food, Mediterranean, lots of sightseeing and buses everywhere Smile Won't be boiling this time of year but will still be pretty warm as their warmest month is September and the heat lasts a whilst Smile

Enjoy wherever you go!!

All awesome options!!! Thanks a million :)
Ok now I need at least 4 long weekends to go to these places.
Good point about Spain, I'm obsessed with cured meats, good cheese with a glass of vino so def don't want it rubbed in my face.
Will choose based on cheapest flight.
Very glad to hear not impossible to travel with baby..
Thank you all!

You can eat certain cured meats and some cheeses when you're pregnant. And indeed shellfish if it's cooked, according to the NHS guidelines.

I was in Istanbul last weekend and can recommend it. It was still about 18 degrees and sunny. Dubrovnik is beautiful but not a place to go in November as everything tends to shut down and it won't be warm enough to go to the beach.

I am sure that wherever you go you will enjoy the break.

We had 1 night away in York a few weeks ago (I was 29 weeks) and it was brilliant.
Just a single night away in a nice hotel without the dog or having housework to do. We wandered around loads and had a nice meal out (not expensive just tasty) and it was so so good. Sometimes you just need some time away from everyday life.
Have fun wherever you decide!
