Due Jan - June 2014 and live near Newcastle?

I'm looking to start building up a wee antenatal/postnatal gang of likeminded stroppy old hags (young hags also welcome) due next year near Newcastle (I'm near the coast). I work all the time, and just moved last year to here, so I only know work people. That will make matty leave very dull! So, it seems to make sense to send out some feelers for fellow sproggers who fancy making up a mummy/parent cohort. I don't want to do the NCT antenatal, as this is my third, and I don't want the 'here's what birth will be like' teaching, just the access to new mummy/parent friends!

Not sure if anyone would be up for planning a meet maybe in December/January, but thought I'd put the feelers out.

Would December be acceptable? We're along the river near Newcastle, this is my first!

I'm near Newcastle, due in December but booked for CS 2 weeks today!

Sounds like there are three of us as a minimum then! Hi, Beth, nice to hear from you. When are you due? I'm April, so yonks to go. Feather, good luck with the CS! Let me/us know whenever you're ready to meet up - sounds like January might be a good plan for our first get together. I'm still newish to MN, so I haven't worked out how you'd private message, but if you guys can educate me, I can send contact details.

Hi, I'm near Newcastle, due end of feb... Would 29 be classed as young or an old hag?!

CubanoHabana · 09/11/2013 19:43

Ps this is my first...

poop I know you said you were near me! just wondering where you were planning on having your lo? Durham / bishop / darlo / somewhere else? We had thought either RVI or durham but decided on durham cos of new birthing pool...

PoopPoooDeDooo · 09/11/2013 22:02

I'm going to Hexham Cubano, had Dd there and its fab. They call it the Hexham Hilton doncha know Grin

CubanoHabana · 10/11/2013 11:31

Hadn't even considered Hexham!

beth27123 · 10/11/2013 11:39

I'm due in December! Hoping to go to the RVI, but I have heard good things about Hexham.

RaRa1988 · 10/11/2013 12:20

Hexham's a bit far out for me. I'm going to Alnwick. Was going to the RVI, but ended up at their Maternity Assessment Unit last week and really didn't like the atmosphere.

camwombat · 10/11/2013 12:37

Tea I'd be interested in this as we moved up to the coast at the end of the summer.

DC2 is due start of Feb, and will class myself as an middling hag! however much I wish to be a young one Wink

Beachmum123 · 14/11/2013 18:29

Hi there I live in Whitley Bay and am due end of Feb! Whereabouts are you?

This is my first and I am going to be almost 30 when she is born. Looking forward to meeting lots of other mums in the area!

X

Beachmum I'm also central WB. Fraction older at 32, but was 30 with DS. I am looking forward to meeting new mums with dc2 so our paths ought to cross at some point!
