Don't know all the doctor terms but at my last midwife appointment, she did the measurements of my belly and the little cross was on the top line...

She didn't seem concerned and me and partner didn't notice til we got home and had a look so couldn't ask, but does this mean I'm gunna have a big baby?

I am 32 weeks on Thursday, very uncomfortable and what I think is HUGE for how far I am. Have also put on around 2-3stoneShock

I don't usually sound this thick by the way it's late and I have baby brain, thanks in advance for replys Smile

Lots of factors go into how big your bump is, so not necessarily a matter for concern - I've had friends with huge bumps go on to have 6-7lb babies so depends on how much water there is in there. If the MW was concerned she would have said something - and you can have growth scans, but I think they do more harm than good in terms of scaremongering as they aren't very accurate Grin.

Are you very tall?

fwiw the mw said I'd have a 7lb baby and my first was 8.11 - I was 8.13 when I was born and my partner similarly sized, so I always assumed he'd be about 8-9lb Smile

I'm having same issue - but I think sometimes it's just the way the individual woman carries. i've been very 'out front' from the start.

My midwife said 2-3 stone weight gain during pregnancy is normal for a woman of average BMI. So it doesn't sound like you're that big...

Hi I gained 3 and half stone and was sent for a scan at 36 weeks because of expected big baby. He was born 3 weeks ago weighing 7 pound 12, so not big at all so I shouldn't worry too much, it all seems a bit of guesswork.

With my first baby I measured on the middle line throughout but when she arrived she was below the bottom line. I measured about 30th centile with my second but she was a pound bigger Confused. I honestly wouldn't pay too much attention to it.
