39+1 - think baby is on his way.....

Afternoon ladies

I have been 'leaking' since 8.30 this morning and then passed my mucus plug at about 3pm.

No contractions as yet - a few questions:

1. DH works away during the week should I tell him to come home yet?

2. should I have dinner as per normal?

3. Do you think he'll be coming along soon?

Had enough of being preggers now so desperate to get going and I HATE waiting!

If it's your waters leaking I would say so. I think that if you don't go into labour 24 hours after waters have gone they induce you. (Sorry if this isn't always correct but that's what they wanted to do with me last time)

Have you told labour ward you are losing your waters? They'll want you in to check, and will induce after 24-48 hours if contractions don't start. Good luck!

U definately need to call labour ward if you are losing your waters and personally I would tell DH to come home as they will normally induce you after 24 hours if it doesn't start naturally as it's not safe for baby to be without the waters for too long xxx

If you're leaking waters then yes, call him. Ime if you're leaking waters and the plug has come away then you're at the start of labour so hopefully your baby should be coming along now!

I'm 39+4 and have been having period pains all day every 40-50 mins today but nothing happening. I know how you feel! I've had enough too.

Ok so been to the hospital and waters have definitely gone now - having some minor period pains every hour or so..... If nothing happens then booked in to be induced in Thursday!

Husband on his way home now - trying to get some sleep but it's not happening!

Still no contractions........ Have walked the dogs, bounced on my ball cooked supper. Looks like I'm going to be induced tomorrow morning - that or it will all kick off at 3am in the morning.

I'll keep you posted...
