I'm only 33 weeks pregnant but I've been havin some weird feelings that I'm unsure about..

I've been experiencing achey painful twinges yesterday evening and today! They're quite often, feels like it's in my pubic area where my cervix would be? They only last a second but are slightly painful! :/

Also been having slight cramps yesterday evening too, they weren't regular but we're painful :( my bump seems to go rock solid when it happens..

Baby's not moved much today but he has had the hiccups, he gets them so much, 2-3 times a day everyday!

Sorry for tmi but yesterday evening I went to the toilet (number 2) like 3 times in a couple of hours and the pain wasn't from that :/ also been urinating a lot!

I want to call my midwife but they can be patronising and I don't want them thinking I'm an overly paranoid mum, and the hospital I would have to visit is a 40 minute drive away and I am home alone with no way of getting there :/

Helpful advice much needed!

Call them, if you're worried you have every right to call them its their job, ignore any patronizing the most important thing is making sure you and baby are safe and well. Hope everything is ok x Thanks

Hits sounds like Braxton Hicks to me with the bump going rock hard. Also you are going to start weeing more now as there is little room for your bladder.

Not sure about the BMs or the cervix pain but if it isn't severe pain, try not to worry too much.

Reduced movement though I would call in. I don't think the MW would be judgey at all. They tend to prefer that you ring in than not. See what they say on the phone

He's gotten a lot lower in the past couple of weeks, I had a 32 week scan and he measured at 5lb1oz already and was head down! Don't know if that has anything to do with it! :/

I remember a few cervix twinges later on in my pregnancy now I think about it. I think it was when he hit it from inside Confused

How's his movements now?

cinnieetaylor18 · 02/11/2013 18:12

Not many, he only moved a little today :/

Def call them but the weird pain is probably 'lightening crotch'. When they play with a nerve or your cervix.

Sounds like bh tightenings.

Hiccupping is really normal. When they really drop and you have hiccups in your fanny it's quite funny.

So don't panic. But call them. Smile

Call the midwife if you are worried about reduced movements. They will not mind or judge in the slightest. It will put your mind at ease.

Does sound like braxton hicks to me too. As baby gets lower it can be quite painful and uncomfortable, particularly whilst walking. If you are worried though go and get checked.

cinnieetaylor18 · 02/11/2013 19:02

Has he already dropped then? as I feel his hiccups in my privates! Really low feels like it's throbbing when he gets going!

It's never wrong to give your mw a call and ask to be checked out, this is the one time it isn't worth being overly cautious. If your baby is still moving and hiccuping but you're worried, see if you can see anyone maybe on Monday.

I had a ridiculous amount of Braxton Hicks and they were bloody painful. BUT I never had that tightening, rock solid sensation when I was actually in labour. And your baby could easily have moved a bit and is now sitting right on your cervix.

If it is just the BH and the cervix sensations I wouldn't be worried, but any concerns about the baby's movements are always worth checking out.

They do say call straight away if you experience a change in baby's movement.

Better safe than sorry eh?
