Silly superstition about baby things, do you worry anyway?

Hi ladies, I have started to get things ready for baby who isn't due till January. Basically I like to be organised, I have bought lots of clothes
( mostly Carbootsale or from friends ), furniture is here but still in boxes and now thinking about painting the room. I'm thinking Christmas stuff will take a few weeks so want to be prepared encase baby comes early.
We have our pram from dd1, I made sure it fits in the car today and got a second hand carry cot for it as our original one was bright pink and we are having a boy this time round. Ok so get to the point... The pram lived in the loft for the past 2 years which didn't bother me but now it is down and in babes room I'm worried about silly superstition of not bringing pram in to house before baby is born. Am I crazy? Just wondering what others have done about getting things before baby arrives? Would you keep old pram in house to be reused?
Thanks for reading, hope I make sense xx

I bought the pram when I was about 10 weeks and it's been sat on our lounge ever since. (Pram was second hand so had to get it else it would have gone)

I'm now 32 weeks and not had any problems.
I've also bought baby's bits and clothes all the way through that have been sitting in the spare room.

I don't believe in any superstitions but each to their own really lol x

I'd certainly store a pram that I already owned in the baby's room.
No probs.

I was very reluctant to hand over money for stuff in the early days tho I case the worst happened. But I am very tight and very cynical.

I'm not superstitious about things being in the house but I didn't find out the sex this time just because I didn't last time and had a good pregnancy/birth. I just feel like if I do everything exactly the same as last time things will be ok.

Thanks ladies, I'm 29 weeks now so god willing all will be ok. I guess I would be silly to or get anything or plan in advance.
On a possitive note I am very proud that I can fit babies pram in the boot of my fiat 500! Lol

Xx

IMHO absolutely nothing you do or don't do makes any difference to the outcome of a pregnancy.

If having a pram in the house caused my 7 mcs then I'm completely to blame.

Magical thinking is just a way of our brains trying to control the uncontrollable. But we know that already :)

i wouldnt worry i started buying early i bought our babys crib at about 3 months ish and the pram just after 20 weeks i had basically everything by time i hit 34 weeks im now 39+1 btw so see nothing to worry about :) dc3

I started buying things early however I am now nearly 26 weeks and still reluctant to open things. In my mind keeping them in the packaging is the compromise Blush
