Hi guys, 4days over, had bloody show last week, I'm fully effaced but only 1cm dilated. Had 2sweeps, babys dropped. Had 3 bouts of labour that stopped after 4/5 hours. Had all other old wives symptoms, nesting, weight loss, etc. booked in to be induced on 3rd nov, but really don't wanna go through it for obvi reasons, fed up now n in pain all the time. Plz someone tell me it's gonna b soon??

Just wanted to add a message to say if it does get to induction stage, it needn't be a terrible experience, I had one with DS1 and honestly, it was a great experience - lots of other threads on here too about positive inductions

Fx its soon for you though Thanks

I bet you will go all at once when u do and hopfully quickly from the sounds of things.
I had lots of false starts with dc2, went over 8 days in the end but when it started proper it didnt stop and he was out in a couple of hours.
Try to keep focusing on the end result and relax as much as you can to preserve your energ. Good luck x

Ah, that sounds just like me. Baby sounds ready to come... I ended up being induced after 2 weeks of this kind of thing, she was all done in 45min and they barely touched me - she just needed a little hint to get going. Induction is not always bad, mine was a lovely experience (for childbirth!) and we were home with baby 12 hours after getting to hospital.

Thanks guys, not heard of too many good stories with being induced, so that's eased me a bit :) we are just so fed up of getting our hopeful with each sign, then nothing :( I know he'll come when he's ready but it's really frustrating at the min, n oh so painful :( xx

Every contraction will be dilating you further, so less work to do when it actually does start!

TeaAndCakeOrDeath · 26/10/2013 17:37

Bless, I know this part is hard but try and think in the grand scheme of things, in a few days at most he'll be here and you can see him, hold him etc
Do you have a name for him?

Have you taken painkillers/got in a bath/used hot water bottle? If it gets to where you cant cope, dont be afraid to phone delivery unit and tell them you need something stronger...

And here are some positive induction stories if it'll help in any way

Do come back when he's here and tell us?! Grin

Had 2nd sweep and still nothing, booked in next sun for induction so he should b here in a week or so at least. I just think he's comfy n that's that. It's just annoying waiting :( xx
