I'm 39 + 3 with baby three and last night I was awake most of the night thinking something was happening. I had a constant lower back pain and period pain but not any specific contractions I don't think. it was just kind of constant....I managed to get back to sleep this am about 4 am and woke up with nothing much and whatever pain there had been wore off throughout the day.
I'm now worried about another sleepless night and it starting again.
does this sound like pre labour or not. my last labours just started with normal contractions.
has anyone any experience of this?
I've not had these pains until now.
Haven't had a show or anything either.

The pain was like period type pain and around my back like I needed the loo or those crampy feelings before your period.

My mw says third babies are typically tricksy getting started, but relatively easily delivered. Am on day two of period pain/painful contractions that just come and go. Am knackered and irritable and weepy.

Fingers crossed this weather system does what it's meant to in the very near future!

Had this for over 3weeks,go for 4-4.5 hours wi gradually stronger contractions then they stop! I'm currently 40+4,had 2sweeps n he's still in there so sorry Hun but it could be a while, but the contrations do do things, just some of us r unlucky n they take a while.try n keep moving when they start again, that's all we can do xx
