im really confused/ worried/ scared. im pregnant with my first after a short time of 'first contact' dtd with my hubby (also new to this). im only around ten weeks pg but im really confused.

Whenever we've dtd its really painful for me down there and well, its smooth 'down there'. as in i cant see/ feel a hole, ya know.. where there should be one. iv looked at diagrams on the internet and i just cant work it out why i look so different.

I have a bad history of abuse and so iv never even gone to a doctor and my hubbys the first iv even trusted to see me down there. god knows how im going to give birth, probably a c section, but thats by the by. hes clueless too cos im his first.

am i crazy for thinking theres no opening. iv looked and iv felt and its just like stretchy skin, yes it can get really stretchy but not break or anything :(

help? anyone?

So sorry to hear of your abuse Flowers

Sorry to ask but I don't understand, where does your husband put his penis if there's no hole?

peeapod · 20/10/2013 22:14

theres a hole but theres skin or something covering it.. it stretches but it doesnt go away

Odd question but have you been circumcised? I would have a chat with your midwife. She can do an examination if you are happy to have one and help you find out what your options are. Female circumcisions can be reversed on the nhs.

You're being really brave, so to get a bit braver...
Sit down after a decent bath/shower, get a mirror and have a good thorough look. You might need a torch as its hard to get good lighting underneath you! It's all quite complicated at first but if you keep gently peeling bits back softly, you'll find the hole. It's not massive, and might not be 'open' if you're not ahem... Sitting with your legs apart. It's surprisingly small but it stretches for all the jobs it has to do.

There has to be a hole somewhere or you wouldn't be pregnant. Every lady looks very different, as the last post said, have a good look!
Congratulations on your pregnancy and big hugs for getting where you are now :)

Hah you've found it. Your hymen oddly enough can cover it, it's the bit that you might have heard about breaking or tearing but it's really just a thin stretchy membrane that might not fully go away on some ladies. It won't get in the way in the future but you can always ask a midwife/Dr about it to check if you're unsure.

Hi, there has to be a hole or you physically couldn't be pregnant, perhaps it could be your labia that you are feeling/seeing, have you looked using a mirror? The opening is close to the bottom of the vagina hope this helps, Smile

goodasitgets · 20/10/2013 22:26

Mirror and a light. Have a good look/poke around, you won't hurt yourself. Everyone looks different. It could be part of your hymen you are feeling
Can you ask your husband to help you? I had a panic I had lost my coil strings and had to ask partner to help Blush it wasn't my finest moment with him going "I don't know what I'm looking for" and me going "well the word strings should be a clue!"

Confused. You must have a hole if you're pregnant.
