Hi everyone,
hoping someone can put my mind at ease a bit. I'm 25 weeks now and for the last couple of days I have had pressure in the lower part of my stomach, it's sometimes a bit painful. It feels like the baby is lying so low down that he's trying to get out! I really don't know how better to describe it. I've also had pain in my cervix, this is mostly sharp, sudden pain that goes away quickly and I've put it down to baby kicking my cervix. Tonight I was making tea and the pain turned into a constant pain that occasionally gets worse. I'm sat down now and it seems to be going but still have the pressure in my tummy. Am I just being an over-paranoid first time mum or should I mention it to the midwife?

My mum went into pre-term labour with me and I have had spotting on and off so I can't help but worry. Thank you!x

If it worries you mention it, but I can assure you that's its normal enough that I also had those sorts of sensations. And I think you're right, as baby is getting bigger and wiggling about at the lower end of the womb it feels like pain right in the cervix, there's more nerve endings lower down I think so it is a sharper sensation. The pressure you're feeling could be Braxton Hicks, but they normally come and go instead of creating a constant feeling of pressure.
Relax, send your midwife a message with your questions and rest up.

I'm also 25 weeks and I had the pressure sensation today. I went to the cinema tonight and was soo uncomfortable for the entire 2 hours I felt like I was 40 weeks rather than 25!
I think it's normal, they're getting quite big now and are moving around a lot so try not to worry. If you're worrying give the midwife a call. :)

I am 27 weeks + 5 days and been having the same feeling occasionally the last couple of days/nights. It feels like the baby is so low and putting pressure on one area! But when I touch the area it's seems to be all baby and not the whole uterus? I assumed it was just him pushing against me but maybe it's something else? I am finding it uncomfortable too.
