For want of a better word to call it.

Like a tiny, tweaking electricy shock feeling.

Kind of feels like a urine infection does when it gets bad but not quite.

Anyone had this? Please tell me I'm going into labour lol.

Ok so I could be completely wrong and it may not be this...

But when I whet to the ante-natal class the other day she said when u get your first contractions. They are really down low... Is it often your getting them?

I don't want to get your hopes up x

BummyMummy77 · 17/10/2013 22:55

OOOOOOOO!

They're like, IN my vagina. to one side.

They weren't happening much earlier but it's twinging lots now I'm sat down. They don't hurt at all.

Maybe I should time them.

I can't take an (possible) month of this 'am I going into labour' excitement, I'll drive myself mad!

I've been having this for weeks, to the point where I'll suddenly go 'ARGH' mid conversation with someone. I am 33 weeks and like I say, it has been going on for a while so it doesnt seem to be linked with going into labour. My guess is that he is kicking near the top of my vagina- its feels like someone is playing a kazoo down there. Sometimes I feel like I'm going to pee myself in little bursts as well, so not labour related. Just movements in awkward places methinks!

Someone more informed will be along, just wanted to sympathise with you and mark my place x

BummyMummy77 · 17/10/2013 23:00

Nuts. Didn't think it was really labour lol.

I think maybe he has his hands up there and is fiddling around! x

Hey, that's not to say things aren't moving along, you are weeks ahead of me and everyone is different.

yellowsnownoteatwillyou · 17/10/2013 23:03

It's called lightning crotch. Grin
It can be really painful and weird.
I had it a lot as Ds was always head down and liked jumping about.

Stom91 · 17/10/2013 23:04

Yeah I'm still new at all this lol..

Like you said he may be on a nerve. I hope it happens soon for you though!! Xx

BummyMummy77 · 17/10/2013 23:22

It's called what?!!! Brilliant.

It is weird. It makes me wince and giggle at the same time.

I'm just going to pretend it's labour lol.

Join the club! Been having this for weeks now, makes me wince and makes DH panic, poor lamb.

JellyTopicecreamisthebest · 18/10/2013 05:57

If you getting things that might be kicks down there baby may be breach. Mention it to the midwife

EmB1715 · 18/10/2013 10:34

Yep lightening crotch! I think my baby likes to do headstands on my cervix. Not fun!

SicknSpan · 18/10/2013 10:37

Ooh yes I had this with ds2. Just put it down to to him bouncing up and down on my pelvic floor. V strange sensation.

RedlipsAndSlippers · 18/10/2013 10:41

So glad I'm not the only one!
I've been flinching and grimacing all over the place, lightening crotch is the perfect name for it haha.
I'm 38+3 so I'm in the 'hopefully it's labour' camp.

BummyMummy77 · 18/10/2013 12:40

Oops. Think he's moved back to back.
Noooooooo.

Argh stupid phone! Keeps posting the end of messages.

I'm trying to decide if it's lightening crotch or a urine infection so will go to docs to check.

He's punching me just above the bladder so think he's moved back to back.

I heard someone the other day call them fanny daggers!
mine feel exactly like that.
like someone is stabbing my cervix with a dagger.
