As it says in the title I'm scared of having the scan, finally heard off my midwife after 4 weeks but I feel like I've got information overload now Confused. Not sure whether to have the combined test or not, the result wont make any difference but maybe better to be prepared. Also worrying me is that I haven't 'felt' pregnant for a few days now and I know that can be normal and I don't want to panic over nothing but the fear creeps in every now and then so I guess im just looking for a little reassurance and maybe advice what to expect at the scan. Thank you in advance x

All will be well!! Positivity is an important part of pregnancy as stress hormones reach the baby!
However it is normal and almost expected that the mother is concerned and anxious, so not to worry.
Go for the test! Take photos and watch the second trimester change your entire body like magic.
Thanks Congrats!!

Also petrified & I don't remember feeling like this with DD...

Have a couple of weeks to wait. Had MC in July & with DD I bled from6 weeks so had scans early & all the way through. This time no bleeding so no early scan & petrified!!!!

Awwwwwww ladies try not to panic, I know it's hard but I felt the same way I'm now 17 weeks pregnant but the whole time I was waiting for my 12 week scan I did not feel pregnant. I was sure the Sonographer would tell me there was nothing in there!I can't even explain how it felt to finally see my little jelly bean!

I'm another who didn't feel pregnant either - I'm now 37+4 and I still don't feel pregnant!

I know its easy for us to say but try to relax [hugs]. I had a private scan at 10 weeks (because I didn't feel pregnant and needed it confirming) and then the NHS one at 13 weeks.

Both were pretty much the same. Needed a full bladder, the room is fairly dark and I lay on a hospital bed/couch. Jelly was put on my tummy and then the sonographer firstly confirmed there was a baby in there, then let us listen to the heartbeat and after that, showed us the arm & leg buds and at both scans were told she was a very active baby even then! It was really nice and both sonographers were happy to answer our many, ridiculous questions. The private scan was longer than the NHS one.

I'm feeling the same. I have my first midwife appt. next week then scan on 22nd November and I don't feel pregnant at the moment either. I'm freaking out a bit too but we'll just both need to try to think positively!
