Has anyone had a scan of the placenta at 16/17 weeks?

I am curious as to what experience people have had. I have one next week & I am expecting it take a long time & my doc has already said we could have a sneak peek at my baby.

Bit anxious as my placenta failed last time but not this early.

I had a few for placenta previa, they used to check it was ok when i bled, didn't take long, they would go round it checking it was attached properly, do a doppler thing to check bloodflow, that was pretty much it !

Thanks tinkerbell :)

I was expecting it take a few hours to detail all the vessels.

I had a placental blood flow and cervical length scan, only took about 20 minutes, only exciting bit was when they gave the med student the scanner to play with and she just kept looking at baby!
