I'm 16 weeks pregnant today and following me having a big, fresh blood bleed two weeks ago and me and hubby booked a reassurance scan which we have just got back from. We were so relieved to see a happy and healthy baby with a wonderful heartbeat!! And to add icing to the cake they told us we are having a boy!! EEK! Smile Smile Smile

I'm also on medication that can increase the risk of spina bifida, something which has been on my mind ever since I found out I was pregnant, but we got told today that they spine looks perfect!

I just feel so happy, relieved and excited!!! Smile Smile

Thanks everyone Smile

Following my 12 week scan and after them learning I was on my particular medication they referred me to the Foetal Development Centre to have my 20 week scan performed by specialists who are more in tune with looking at potential spinal deformities. This referral made me even more nervous and was making my DREAD my 20 week scan (which is on the 7th November) but now I feel like I can go there with a peace of mind and enjoy it Smile

Me and hubby have both woke up in a fantastic mood and discussions about boy's names has begun Smile
