The glycerol stuff you can get from the chemist is rubbish.

For a cold paracetamol and hot water with lemon and honey. For your sore throat gargle salt water, it is discusting but I swear by it. My Gran told me to do it years ago and it seems to work every time x

Lots of good quality manuka honey, lemon and mint infusions. If you're stuffy you can put mint leaves in boiling water and inhale the vapour. Feel better soon.
