Hi just need a little reassurance probs just worrying too much.

I had my first scan last night overwhelming and amazing my little baby was wriggling all over.

And as baby wouldn't keep still the found it hard to get a picture so my lower abdomen pressed really hard on a full balder as well as having to jump around,

My tummy now is a little bruised and tender and get the odd pain.

I didn't think it was safe to press that hard obviously they no what there doing but has any one else come bk bruised of a scan

Dont worry SweetPea, I was just the same & even came on here to ask the same thing, I was really worried after my 1st scan & a few after as often felt bruised, I'm now 33 weeks :-)

I had a horrible inexperienced woman do an internal scan when I was newly pregnant. It's a long story and I promptly complained after a day of crying.

I was assured that baby and I were absolutely fine. Although I still worried!

I'm now 34+3 days and touch wood, everything is going well :)

I know you're worried but try not to be x

That happened to me after both my first scan and My gender scan. I think at the time I was too taken over with looking at the screen and being excited and although I knew she was pressing really hard I just kind of put it to the back of my mind. Then the next day and a few days after I was very bruised feeling. So try not to worry! They wouldn't press that hard if it wasn't ok to do so in my opinion, and I'm 29 weeks now and he's doing fine Smile

Yes l remember being sore after my 20 week scan. The sonographer did push quite hard at the time which I didn't like but I suppose that's how they have to do it. I had to go to bed when we got home it was really quite sore. I am 30 weeks now.

I had the same at my first scan this pregnancy. Also a little wriggler who wouldn't stay still, it felt like the sonographer was trying to pin it down. It did hurt but settled down a few hours later.
