Nagging pain top right side of bump

I've been putting up with this for a long time without really questioning what it is as pregnancy is generally full of aches and pains. Now wondering if anyone has had similar? Whenever I sit upright/uncomfortably for more than 5 mins or so I get so sore at the top right side of bump. Driving is becoming a bit of a nightmare and I find going out for family meals/going to someone else's house quite difficult. What's weird is that if I push gently (and hold it there) on the sore spot it goes away!

It's your baby or your uterus pressing on your ribs. I had exactly the same for a long while and my midwife could feel that my baby was lying on that side, and although not touching my ribs, close enough and tucked up enough to cause irritation!

Keep pressing and rubbing gently and eventually baby might shift over!

I had something similar but from 20ish weeks so dont think it was my uterus or baby at that stage. mine is more like a burning sunburn sensation on the surface which I've worked out is skin stretching. if i put cream on mine it calms down.

I have this and can sympathise - it's really quite painful today :-(

Thanks for the replies. Lj you're probably right, last midwife app baby was head down with her back on the right side so I've been suspecting that a little bum is wedged there. Didn't realise it could be rib pain though!

Yep confirmed today by midwife! A boney bottom is wedged under my ribs!
