3rd c section - can they check if you're ok for a 4th?

Sorry if this is an odd question but I'm due for my 3rd CS in Jan and although I've been telling all and sundry this is defo my last baby, I have a slight worry that the 'urge' for another baby will return at some point and I'll start considering a 4th. Do you know if you can ask the surgeon after they've done a CS if they think your womb/CS scar will cope with a 4th CS, or is that a ridiculous idea?

I think if my husband knew I'm even asking this question he'd get a vasectomy pronto so it is very unlikely to happen!

I have had 5 sections in the space of 7 yrs. The doctors never said there would be a problem with another. They commented on scar tissue etc so I suppose when the consultant visits you post op you could ask.

A friend's sister had all her 4 kids via c/s, so I don't think it's that big a deal anymore.
Incidentally, I'm also having my third c/s in January Smile but I'm pretty certain this will definitely be my last!

Thank you, that sounds encouraging. I am hoping that the urge for more will stay away, but I just don't fully trust myself!!

I had 4. Asked at all of them. Was told it was very thin after the third, after the 4th she said I could have a few more but wait a few months before getting pregnant!

I won't lie though- I was a bit nervous last time.
