Am 38+5 pregnant now and yesterday was in tesco and saw a little boy covered from head to toe in chicken pox running around the store. I have not had chicken pox before and have had the immunity test at 18 weeks and am not immune to it - am now absolutely s*ing myself. What should I do??

Only got results yesterday. MW phoned me yesterday afternoon from hospital to tell me that I still had no immunity and that they wanted to give me the immunoglobulin. However, I had spoke to my local MW in the meantime who explained that the immunoglobulin was a human blood product and probably did carry some of it's own risks. I chatted to the hospital MW for a while and she contacted the hospital medics for me who said that unless I had had a minimum of 15 minutes face-to-face contact with the boy that it was highly unlikely that I would contract chicken pox so DH and I decided against the immunoglobulin after all. Just hope we have made the right decision! PS Thanks for the support everyone!
