Travel insurance whilst pregnant

At the end of November dh, myself and some friends are doing a long weekend away to paris Smile I'll be around the 23/24 week mark. I want to get some travel insurance but wondered if there is anything I should avoid/complicated wording to look out for in the policy. How do I tell the insurer I'm pg?

I called my insurer last year and told them I was pg 21weeks, they said pg was covered as standard I would probably check tho for piece of mind

I had travel insurance with my bank account and when I called them to say I was pregnant they told me it makes no difference to the cover as pregnancy is a natural bodily function!

Perhaps try a company like John Lewis so you can speak to a person on the phone before buying the cover?

It depends which one you go for. The post office don't cover past 6 months, so around 27 weeks in its normal cover plan.

My insurance for my trip next week covers up to week 27 automatically and between weeks 27 and 35 you just need a signed note from your midwife saying you're fit to travel.

Each one varies, but it's definitely worth mentioning when booking.

I used American Express insurance and was adamant in telling them I was pregnant. I also told them about recurrent UTIs during pregnancy so that I could be coverered if I needed to see a doctor.
