They do tend to with subsequent pregnancies. I had none at all with DC1, but they've become more intense with each pregnancy to now with DC4, where I was getting really intense ones at 17 weeks (think I even posted here about it Grin).

Yes I'm the same. Didn't have any with dc1. A few with dc2 but this time they started really early on at around 18 weeks. I'm 33 weeks now and they take my breath away and I can't walk until they stop. I get them really frequently too, probably about 10-15 a day.

What causes them?

Third baby here too, 22w also, and I've gotten them a lot earlier this time as well.

I find if I haven't been drinking enough I get more o hem, also if I'm desperate for a wee, and if I sit in one position for too long (especially at work if I'm hunched up over my desk).

I'm expecting my second and have been getting them since around 20 weeks - I'm 28 weeks now. I had them in my first pregnancy but I've gotten them much earlier this time. They are incredibly painful and leave me breathless.

I get them if I've been walking quite a bit or at the end of a tiring day. They were so bad on Weds they made me sick. I fucking hate them!

I got them with pregnancy 3, 4&5 but rarely with my current pregnancy.

My midwife said it was a sign of a healthy womb!;-)

Oh, I meant to say that a trip to your GP to rule out a UTI is a good idea. I went last week as I read that they can be caused by an infection. I didn't have one, but you may aswell rule it out.
