Hi

I was wondering if anyone else had or is suffering from this as it is really driving me insane!!

It feels like my whole vaginal area is bruised and something is pressing really hard on that bruise. It also feels like its swollen and bulging! But its weird because it is worse when I am standing up.

Does anyone know what it could be?? I am really worried that something is wrong!!

I should say I am 31+4 weeks at the moment.

Thanks for any advice xx

Check with your midwife. I've heard that pain in that area can be caused by SPD. The bulging sounds like blood flow - you've got a whole lot of blood trying to make it's way to your uterus and some of it ends up at your foof. It's what causes vulval varicose veins.

Sounds like spd op. I have the same and have got a referral for physio now by my midwife.

I've got the same problem - am 39 weeks and have had it on and off for the last five or six weeks, feels incredibly bruised and is bulgy too. I spoke to my doctor about it and she wasn't in the least bit worried, said it was completely normal and down to all the stretching and straining from my bump.

SPD Sad just been referred for physio for the same thing. It's important to catch it early

I was diagnosed with SPD at 26 weeks and had one physio session, since then I've had 3 others booked and cancelled by the hospital because the physio has been off sick, double booked and then on holiday!!
If that is what is causing it I'm not so worried, was concerned it was an infection or something.
Thanks for responses will chase up my physio again!! X
