It's now definitely coat weather and I've come to the point where none of my coats will fasten. it seems a waste of money to pay loads on a maternity coat for 9 weeks but I'm struggling to find any under £50 in stock or in my size (14). Any suggestions or recommendations? How are other pregnant ladies managing? x

Have you had a look on eBay? Many items on there are unworn or will be in good condition due to short period of wear.

Also I have a coat from ASOS that fits really well with a bump. I think it's called Darling, it's a sort of swing style coat so fits nicely even though its not maternity. May be a cheaper option to buy a normal range one in a slightly bigger size. I think that coat coast around £20.

In your situation, 3 years ago, I got a nice coat in Primark. It was the coldest winter in a long time but the coat saw me through.
Hope you find something Smile

Just bought a maternity snood coat from New Look in grey, size 14 for £29.99. Free delivery to store. There was a thread a few days ago recommending them. Haven't worn it yet but it's definitely roomy enough for my 32 week bump and feels snuggly and warm too.

I'm 30 weeks. I got a light coat from eBay earlier in my pregnancy and and now teaming it up with a scarf. Really hoping it will be warm enough, will add hat and gloves when it gets colder. eBay has been pretty good for maternity wear for me.

Argh I saw the snood coats a couple of weeks ago but they are now out of stock, really should have ordered one straight away. Never mind think I might opt for a cheap coat in a larger size, it's only a couple of months after all. Thanks for all your suggestions Smile

Rtfairy · 20/09/2013 20:18

£20? That's good, did you buy it recently?
