Would you wash it? Mosses basket liner (bit trivial, sorry)

I have started buying a few bits for baby. I've washed and packed away some of these bits so they're all ready.

We bought a lovely mosses basket at the weekend. All wrapped in plastic. I've taken the plastic off and I'm going to wash the 'mosses basket bundle' - which was a couple of little fitted sheets, flat sheets, a cellular blanket and a tiny douvet thing.

I'm now sat eyeing the mosses basket liner. The detachable frilly bit that goes all inside and over the edges, y'know?

DH is Hmm He thinks i've gone mad. (about the basket liner)

To be quite honest i don't even really know why we have to de-package and wash new born baby stuff before it's used. But it feels right, everyone does it, it all smells beautiful and i'm enjoying it :)

But the liner ......... would you?

Yes, it washes easily.

I've washed mine. Couldn't help myself I've washed everything possible! Even stripped the car seat and pram fabric off to wash it. It was used for ds1 too so I suppose that's different. x

Yup, give it a wash :)

Also, you should wash newborn stuff because there are chemicals sprayed onto clothes before they're packaged to keep them looking "fresh". So are all clothes. There was a thread on here about it recently...
