I was admitted to hospital Saturday night feeling like I was on the brink of death. Diagnosed with Hyperemesis, 7 drips, numerous anti-sickness drug trials and 3 nights later I'm home. Still feel delicate but keep resting lots, drinking a good amount of fluids and eating well plus the good combo of drugs is keeping me going.

Anyone else suffering from this awful condition?
Ladies who had this while pregnant, were you babies born healthy, on time etc??

Thanks in advance x

So sorry you are suffering. it is dreadful condition. I had it earlier this pregnancy but thankfully it stopped. Have a look at the very supportive thread linked above.

Hi misspope I have had really horrific sickness just all the times it's so draining. And when I'm not sick I'm borking and the constant feeling of nausea. I new there would be a bit of morning sickness but I never thought it would be like this. I was on the brink of going to hospital. But been giving tablets and drinking much more and I'm starting to feel human again still sick and feel sick but its took the edge of it. I can't wait till I feel normal again. I've had sickness for nearly 6 weeks and I'm 11 weeks pregnant nearly. It's been the hardest six weeks ever I have never experinced feeling so poorly my entire life. I really sympathise with you and I wouldn't wish this on any one. I really hope you start to feel better soon. Xx

Exactly what I said, never have I felt so ill in my life! I couldn't believe it was possible to feel so ill through pregnancy. I'm 8 weeks now so praying it'll start easing so I can enjoy pregnancy, have cravings like I've heard about and 'bloom'
Sorry to hear your so ill, just hang on in there and sleep as much as possible- mines seriously effected by tiredness x

3 DDs, severe HG through each pregnancy, all born healthy.

DD1, 11 days late, DD2 11 days early, DD3 9 days late.

All weighed between 7lb7 and 7lb10

misspope24 · 18/09/2013 17:32

When did your HG stop? Glad to hear all were born perfect :-)

It's a double edge sword because your so happy your preganant then the sickness kicks in and its hard not to be down and miserable I feel guilty a lot of the time for moaning about sickness but it really does hit you it's like a 24 hours but that seems never ending hope it clears up for you soon

misspope24 · 18/09/2013 18:01

I actually forget I'm pregnant half the time because I'm so focused on feeling ill! Been signed off work too so not saving for all my babies nice things. Just want to feel better. Wish you all the best, hang on in there x

It totally sucks. Come and join us on the HG thread. We are a nice bunch. Promise!

AllDirections · 18/09/2013 20:40

The HG lasted throughout the whole of each pregnancy and disappeared as I went into labour. Each pregnancy got progressively worse and I was pretty much bed ridden for the whole of the pregnancy with DD3.

It's all a distant memory now but a 24 hour sickness bug takes me right back to those times Sad
