I'm 7+6 and have had terrible nausea for a couple of weeks. In my previous pregnancy I was nauseous and vomiting until 21 weeks and really suffered with it. Expecting things to be the same this time - but over the past few days the nausea has really settled. It hasn't disappeared completely but it is a lot better and I haven't vomited at all.

I would love to think I am just going to have a lovely pregnancy with no more ms from now on but can't help worrying that this signifies something is wrong. My mw says it's perfectly normal for nausea to subside any time but as it lasted half the pregnancy last time, I worry this isn't normal for me. I am taking vit b6 supplements as I read they help with nausea. Maybe they are just working..?

I hated the nausea and vomiting so much but now I am torn between wanting to feel ill so that I know things are OK and dreading the return if this turns out to be just a few days respite...

Still have symptoms like fatigue, sore books and severe aversion to coffee (pre-pregnancy was on four cups a day, now keep sniffing it to reassure myself that it still makes me gag!).

So does anyone have experience of less severe nausea in a subsequent pregnancy or nausea that comes and goes?

Hey jelly. Same as you last time round lasted til 20 weeks but I do remember it getting progressively easier. It evened out at 10 which was nice, a bit worse at 12 weeks then from then gradually better.

This time exact same starting bang on 6 weeks and feel like I'm dying. It has become marginally better last two days. Perhaps it is just hormones evening out a bit last two days. I certainly feel that it comes in waves throughout the day like yday I felt a bit less dire most of the day then I got lots of mild cramping and the nausea returned full force which I can only attribute to a new pile of hormones! Urgh its horrible.

Hi Jelly,

I really feel for you :( Mine started to get easier at about 12 weeks ( either that, or I just got used to it!!) and by 16 weeks I was back to normal (which I never even thought was possible, I'd forgotten what 'normal' felt like!!!)

x

With this pregnancy is stopped around the 12 weeks, I do have the odd morning of sickness still but it depends on how bad my heartburn isHmm, with my last pregnancy I was sick all the way thru infact that 1st thing I said after I gave birth was "thank god no more morning sickness"

My first pregnancy (boy) i was nauseous from about week 6 to 11 and then it tailed off. Was never actualy sick.

This pregnancy i was very nauseous from week 5 and vomited quite a bit up till about week 8 before it eased off. I've since had occasions of nausea but no more vomiting & i'm now 21 weeks. This time i'm expecting a girl.

I suffered with nausea from about 6 weeks but my first vomiting episode didn't start until I was 10wks and lasted 4 days straight. It was awful. It then eased off but last night I started vomiting again. I haven't been sick so far today but I feel rotten. I'm almost 13 weeks x
