Foods tasting of fish?! Even coco pops!

Hi there

I am 10 and a half weeks pregnant.......so many foods taste fishy to me! Had macaroni cheese - couldn't finish it because could taste salmon in it?! I couldn't eat coco pops this morning because they tasted fishy?! My husband tries the same food....... and says there is definitely no fish taste to him!

I am vegetarian, and even the omega supplements I take are made from algae and are fish free. I don't eat any meat or fish - so what is going on? Anyone else find that foods taste weird?

Thanks!

When I was around 10-12 weeks with DD2 I had a terrible taste in my mouth, it wasn't fishy, it was more like a mix between rotting meat and metal. Nothing would shift it. All food tasted weird.

I don't know why it happens, but it happened to me too, it was gone after about 6-7 days I think.

I think it's that 'metallic' taste everyone talks about. To me it tasted like sardines covered in rust. I would guess it's probably that so is normal. Yuck though!

I'm 12 weeks and I don't taste fish but just a horrid, yucky taste in my mouth all the time that I couldn't begin to describe. Often its just the taste of whatever I last ate lingering and festering and putting me off whatever it was. I have developed so many food aversions from that!

some foods taste very weird to me still at 30 weeks but the worst thing is having a constant dog poo smell up my nose(I don't have a dog!)
