39 weeks - strong cramps and backache

I have been having period like cramps for the past week or so and yesterday started with really strong backache too. Was slightly convinced I may start with contractions in the night but nothing yet - I was woken several times by the backache though. Could this be the start?? Anyone else start this way?

It is my first so I know the odds are against me going before my due date but it still happens..

My labours started with backache followed by period-like cramps which got more intense and more frequent as labour progressed. Sounds like things are starting for you, although it can build gradually or even stop and start at first.

I'm at 37 weeks today and woke up in this morning with period cramps low down. Have had back ache too for the last couple days plus more discharge. Am thinking this might last for some time...

Also 39 weeks and had this for a week! But SIL only had it for two days, then had a show and baby born that day. Tbh, I don't want it to come to anything as have ELCS booked on Monday!

Hmm doesn't seem like it means much then :) oh well will just keep playing the waiting game!

I'm 39 weeks too and having NO signs of anything..!!!!! :-(

Well my 'signs' haven't come to anything yet... 39+2 and reckon baby is settled for now...
