Do you all use the same make up now you're pregnant?

My foundation has been looking a bit "weird" recently. Kinda crusty and plasticky.

Just wondering if this was a common thing, or whether it's not related at all and I've always looked this dog rough and only just noticed........

I've heard that the make up you were using before you were pregnant wont necessarily be suitable when you are actually are pregnant but have no experience of it myself as I don't wear make up on a daily basis. From what your saying about it looking plastic though maybe a mineral foundation would be more suitable (assuming you aren't using one already that is), I'm still using the same Smashbox halo foundation that I had before I was pregnant and haven't noticed any difference in how it sits on my skin (but as I said, I only wear make up when I go out in the evening which doesn't happen very often anymore, lol!)

My skin responds completely differently now so I've had to change how much of what I apply and where! Bb cream brought me out in awful spots so had to stop that. Also found my moisturiser (one with a hint of tanning lotion) suddenly turned me bright orange Blush to be honest I've pretty much given up!

Me too! I changed to Clinique cc cream it's lovely! Don't think ill go back to my mac foundation after pregnancy.

Pre-pg I had very dry skin. Used intensive moisturiser and then tinted moisturiser as nothing else worked for me.

During pg skin went mega oily for the first time in my life Shock Had to use mattifying primers then just a little bit of the tinted moisturiser instead of replacing (didn't have much spare cash and make up felt less necessary than baby things!).

9mo post-pg, skin is still completely different but in a good way. Is more or less 'normal', again for the first time in my life. Doesn't dry out anymore but also not very oily, I use a very light moisturiser and can finally use mineral powder again, which used to be my favourite but had to abandon due to dry skin problems.

Also, had more dark marks on my skin when pg due to pg acne Sad. This has almost all gone now, back to normal less-marked skin.

A friend became super glowy when pg, she stopped wearing foundation as she had a natural tanned look about her that she never had before. It remained that way until about 12-18mo post-pg!

I've had to completely change my Skincare and foundation as I had the same problem as you, it just sat on top of my skin and I looked a bit corpse like. My previously extremely oily skin has completely dried out in pregnancy and it took me a while to find a routine and products that work but now it looks the best it ever has and I rarely wear foundation at all. I hope it stays this way!

I found that my usual tinted moisturiser started looking a bit orange for some reason. Had to start using one of my paler, fuller coverage foundations which covers up all the spots I've started getting too!

Glad it's not just me then! Guess I "have" to go shopping for stuff for myself and not the babby for a change.

I am using and was using before being pregnant, bare minerals, all powder based. Even if I wake up feeling a bit rubbish, by the time I have done my makeup, I feel great, it gives me a real boost x

Hi everyone, I'm 18 weeks pregnant and came across something in an article about foundation not been safe during pregnancy if it has certain chemicals in it. I have been using Mac studio fix with SPF almost daily. Do yous think i should be worried? Thanks
