Anyone used we buy any car?

The first big baby related purchase I'm making and it's going to be a car! I currently drive a Peugeot 107 which I love but it's a 3 door and has the worlds smallest boot so it's got to go. I've found car I want, a 5 door Renault Megane with a boot that would fit my 107(!) and have it on hold with the dealership at the moment. They were offering me £1500 to trade in however we buy any car saying £2200 so made an appointment to go see them. Now I fully expect to get there and for them to use any excuse to NOT give me that but as long as I can get £2000 I'm happy.

So, what should I expect? Cant find a single good thing about them on google but always wary random reviews found there, has anyone here used them and if so what was your experience? If everything goes wrong and I end up not getting the Megane I'm going to be devastated as without a deposit of at least £2000 the monthly payments will be too much to manage on maternity pay

We used the when we sold our Mercedes B class. They quoted us £5k and that's what they paid us. The office was a bit shabby but otherwise we got the money the next day via bank transfer and we got a much better price from them than anyone else. The guy seemed most concerned about superficial damage to outside or inside of the car like scratches, dents etc. He didn't even drive it, just started the engine!

I'd say go to the meeting see what vibe you get from them you can always walk away and not sell your car to them if they won't give you the £2k you want.

we used them too, didn't get what was quoted on the website as there was a fair bit of superficial damage to the car, but still got an alright price and they were efficient. no harm in going and just rejecting what they offer if you're not happy.

I used them recently, they offered half the price!
Even say it had three previous owners and we had quoted one, they said the garage, owner before us and me. I argued that the garage was a technicality and I had not parted with it yet!
They asked what I wanted and I said what they quoted.
They said they never give that even new out yhe box!!!
We declined and left, I got a call at the end of the day offering more plus my tax disc, this was still a couple of hundred shy but we accepted.
Stay firm!
