This is a long shot but I have set my heart on wearing this dress in emerald to my friend's wedding. www.seraphine.com/emerald-sleeveless-maxi-knot-dress.html I ordered it a couple of weeks ago and they've just sent me a refund saying it's out of stock. I'd be an 8 or a 10... does any lovely mumsnetter have one they would sell me/ lend me?

It says the 8 is in stock!

chocolatemartini · 27/08/2013 19:06

It isn't, I ordered it and it got processed but then refunded Sad

Could you try maternity dress hire websites? I used one when I was pregnant for a wedding, Hire Expectations, and it was great. There are a few out there and one of them might have the dress.

Applepiesky · 27/08/2013 19:39

eBay ? I'll try looking for you now x

Ruralninja · 27/08/2013 19:42

oh man that is niiiiiiiice!!!!

cheeseandpineapple · 27/08/2013 19:46

From the link it's the blue in stock in sizes 8 and 10, not the green.

The green is stunning but if you're really stuck and can't find the green, maybe try the blue?

MsFiremanSam · 27/08/2013 20:02

I have it in a 12 but probably too big for you?

chocolatemartini · 27/08/2013 20:26

Aaaahhhh you are all so kind. MsFiremanSam I think a 12 would be too big, although I am eating more than enough to put on 2 dress sizes in the next month so it isn't hopeless... If you really wouldn't mind lending/ selling it (if it does fit) could you measure the bust as its my small boobs that normally make me an 8 on top.

applepiesky the eBay one is similar! I am now watching it. Thanks for that I had trawled eBay quite a lot and not seen that one. There was a size 10 that I got outbid on a week or so ago due to dodgy Internet connection.

And cheeseandpineapple yes the blue is nice too, just got a thing about green at the moment...

IME their dresses size up so I'd go for an 8 instead of a 10.

mrspaddy · 27/08/2013 21:18

Totally off track but I saw this beautiful dress a while ago and only that I am in late pregnancy I would have got it..

Beautiful colour

chocolatemartini · 27/08/2013 21:20

Yes true, I wore 8s right through my last pg, although by the end I was really a 12.

chocolatemartini · 27/08/2013 21:21

mrspaddy the crave one is beautiful, through the neck is too high for me, I can't do high necks.

Can't help on the dress front but try using a sniper tool on eBay (I use auctionsniper.com) means you can set your max bid and then forget about when the end time is and don't worry about browsers refreshing and not getting your bid in time

chocolatemartini · 28/08/2013 11:44

Never even heard of a sniper tool. Thanks I'll look into it

There are still sale items available at Isabella Oliver and they have some lovely dresses in really nice colours - may be worth a look? I was impressed with the quality of their stuff.

Franykins · 28/08/2013 15:03

This is a lovely dress, however I have one that looks exactly the same (just in black) that I got from newlook for £6 in the sale. I can't believe the price of some clothes Hmm

Phineyj · 28/08/2013 15:08

They have similar ones on www.artigiano.co.uk - not maternity, but I found they fitted up to 5 or 6 months.

Phineyj · 28/08/2013 15:12

This is the one I had - I'm planning to use it post-baby too. No green though!

MsFiremanSam · 28/08/2013 17:39

I was 34DD in pregnancy and the bust was perfect, you would probably have to belt the dress? Pm me if you think it would work - was going to eBay it anyway!

chocolatemartini · 28/08/2013 20:28

Thanks for all the other ideas everyone... MsFiremanSam thanks so much, but yes it does sound like it'll be too big. I'm currently more of a 32A/B so even with current cake consumption I don't think I'm going to make it... Plus cake invariably goes to my hips not my boobs but that's another problem altogether! I think
I'm going with a green new look one which is a bargain £15 but also seen a couple of others that are tempting... All ideas still gratefully received!

Btw I was just at the seraphine store in high street Kensington and I remembered this post when I saw the exact dress, in a size 8!! Perhaps call the store and order? I'm sure they can post it to you. It is beautiful!

chocolatemartini · 30/08/2013 15:50

Woooohoooo thank you Thanks Thanks Thanks they have put it aside for me. I don't know why I didn't try all the branches, mostly because I normally have zero free time during shop opening hours. Hopefully I'll be able to get there tomorrow to pick up. Hope it suits me after all this effort!

Cross fingers it fits well! It is beautiful! The store is great! They have a lot of items and sizes! Online all the shoes I wanted didn't have my size, went to store and they had everything :) had a little shopping splurge - 2 new shoes, jeans, bra, top and cardi. Love the store! I was only really online shopping, but nice to go in and try things on.
