Hi,

I am Amy, I will try and keep this brief (sorry if I ramble on)

I have 5 early MCs and was referred to Mr S in Jun 2012. I was diagnosed with High NK cells and high Thyroid and told to start his treatment plan for High NK cells last August. (pregnacare, thyroxine, aspirin, vit d, prednisolone from ov and cyclogest from BFP)

Unfortunately I hadn't fallen PG by the November, and as I got a new job, we decided to take a break from TTC for a while. I have to say I have thoroughly enjoyed the break. I feel much happier and have lost 3 and a half stone.

We wanted to start again around December this year, but following a wonderful holiday in the Maldives at the end of July/beg of august I have found myself with a shock BFP yesterday at 4w3d.

My problem is that, as it has been so long since I was last on the plan, I am not 100% sure on what I should be taking and when. Obviously I will contact Mr S straight away, but as its weekend/bank holiday, and I haven't been taking anything since ov I want to get started straight away. Luckily I continued taking aspirin, thyroxine, vits during my break.

I used to be able to log into his website to get the plan, but my password doesn't seem to work any more?

So, do any of you know - should I take 200mg (1 pessary) cyclogest at night and 25mg pred in the mornings? And continue my vits/aspirin.......Is there anything else I am supposed to do.

I can't believe I have forgotten all this, a year ago I was like a walking Wikipedia page on Recurrent Miscarriage!!

Thanks in advance

Amy

Hi Amy and congratulations!

As far as I can recall (was on his plan for Very High NKCs but didn't work for me!) you take the pred early in the morning - 25mg for High NKCs, and the cyclogest at night. Are yours not 400mg pessaries? Keep on with the rest of your vits, aspirin, thyroid meds etc.

If you have High NKCs I don't believe he prescribes Intralipids but definitely give Louise a call on Tuesday.

Good luck!

Thanks for this Breezy,

My pessaries are definitely only 200mg, and I am sure that i have only ever used one a day before.

Tested again today and there was a nice strong line, stronger than ever before so fingers crossed.

Thanks again

Amy

Good grief, what an idiot I am. . . I just went and checked again and my pessaries ARE 400mg. You're right.

I have absolutely no excuse for this dumbness, I even went and 'checked' after your original reply.

Sorry!
