ds1 grew out of the baby safe sleeper in 10 weeks. He wasn't an especially big baby but really can't believe it would last for 6 months as suggested by manufacturers. We tried using it in a "carry cot" way but couldn't for long, and the britax pushchair wheels from the travel system are not very manoeuvrable. I like our other britax car seats - I'd probably not try for a lie-flat car seat again unless I did a lot of cross country travelling in my LO's early weeks.

dizzy77 thank you very much for your reply i am now going to avoid buying that car seat now thats rather shocking that the car seat only lasted for 10 weeks i wont be traveling much so wont have that issue phew i have got the obaby zezu pramette i know they do the car seat for that one im wondering if that would be a better choice as it clips on to the pushchair aswell i was slightly worried about it being winter again when baby arrives with no cosy toes on certain car seats although i think these can be bought unless im mistaken your reply has def helped me decide to avoid that britax safe sleeper car seat thank you Smile

We loved the look and features of the Simplicity but when we went to look at them were really surprised how heavy it was. I would have struggled with it to be honest. Instead we've gone for the BeSafe which was highly recommended - might be worth looking at.

I would get the one that clips onto the pushchair. It does make life a bit easier although if you don't have a car then that is less of an issue. Don't worry about a cosy toes. A couple of fleece or wooly blankets will do just fine, especially if the baby is wearing winter gear too.
