Hi,

Ds was born at 31 weeks due to foetal distress after I had pre-eclampsia from about 28 weeks.

Ttc no 2 at the moment and scaring myself stupid over same/worse happening again, as I know there is a higher risk pre-eclampsia 2ND time round if you've already had it.

Just after some advice or reassurance please! Smile

Not a given, but to reassure you:
DD1 was born by EmCS at 29+5 due to me having severe pre-eclampsia. It was a very scary time, as I'm sure you know. I knew I really santed another, despite the fear. I went on to have several early miscarriages and then a stickerSmile I wasn't all that well throughout this pregnancy, I had rotten morning sickness throughout (again) and did develop pregnancy induced hypertension, for which I did have to start treatment, despite having taken aspirin from 9 weeks. I was monitored very closely and DD1was born by semi-emergency CS following failed induction at 39+1. She's now a 13 month old mischief, who makes us laugh everyday and her big sister adores herGrin I recovered quickly this time around, and obviously DD2's development has been much smoother than that of DD1 (who you now can't tell that she was so premSmile- she never ceases to amaze us).
