Will shoes ever fit again?!

Holy woah!! I've been wearing lovely comfy Birkenstocks all summer, they smelt a bit so cleaned them. Decided to wear converse trainers instead. And they don't fit, they literally won't go on! Fast forward mad scramble through all shoes and NONE of them fit. Just went to shop in husband's shoes.

I'm not a shoe girl but very surprised and bit gutted. Also I don't especially have odema so wondering if this is permanent.

Would love to hear your experiences!

My feet have gone up around half a size since pregnancy. I'm nearer a 6 now than a 5 which is annoying as if shoes stretch they become too big over time.

Towards the end of pregnancy I bought some cheap shoes 2.5 sizes bigger!!! Completely freaked out but mw said not unusual.

After two pregnancies my size has stabilized at a half size bigger than before.

My shoe size went up two sizes near the end of last pregnancy. Now it's stabilised and I'm up one size more than I started off - so none of my size 6 shoes fit!

Thanks everyone - so I may have to get all new shoes I guess, but it'll take time to settle.

I'll be most upset if my beloved skates don't fit!

oh dear god. this has started happening to me. i was really hoping it was temporary.

i'm already a size 7 so the thought of going up to canoes is massively unappealing - not to mention the expense.

jesus wept!

DD is 2.5 and I never went back to a size 6, only a half size up but annoying!
