Hi everyone. I have just found out I am pregnant with my 3rd child. however my youngest is nearly 3 and I have forgotten absoloutley everything and have nothing left other than a pushchair that my grandparents bought for my oldest child when I was pregnant with him and will never get rid of that!

I know roughly what I need: sleepsuits, vests, blankets, moses basket etc... but what did you find you didn't use? and what did you find you did use?

I want to buy everything new, I don't mean to sound snobby or ungrateful but when I was pregnant with the first everyone gave me everything I needed and all I ended up buying was one outfit, and then I had my 2nd child 11 months later so still had everything left. although I appreciated it I really want the experience of going out and buying everything for the baby myself. I hope people out there understand me and don't think im being ungrateful I just want things different this time.

how many sleepsuits, vests, sheets, sleeping bags etc.. did you buy? I really cant think of how many I actually used with the other two which makes me feel quiet bad. however it could be because I had about 3 drawers full of newborn vests and sleepsuits! and a further drawer full of outfits etc...

any advice would be gratefully appreciated.

thanks for reading. x

Congratulations! I've just found out with dc2 as well :)

Sleepsuits - we had two packs of 5 I think and ended up buying more in the first couple of weeks as everything tells you to not get much in newborn size, but even though ds was a 9lb chunk, he was still too teeny for 0-3 and washing was the last thing on my mind!
Vests - as many as you can afford! I'd stick to cheap places though tbh, as they just get covered in newborn poo. Oh, and don't just buy white ones as then they all end up waiting for a white wash or get turned grey

Sleeping bags - two! We had one and ended up having to buy another in a panic when ds wee'ed through it.
Sheets - depends what your plans are re sleeping (ds slept on dh for the first 10wks...) but I'd say three, one on, one in the wash and one spare.
Other - some scratch mitts, loads of muslins, some cardis (or get rellies to start knitting - love a newborn in knitwear) and maybe some fancier sleepsuits for 'day' wear Grin next have some lovely sets this one will be living in sleepsuits until it's two

Exciting!
