I don't feel pregnant...

Hi ladies

I'm a first timer and as yet I am experiencing no symptoms whatsoever!! I find myself getting upset reading other threads from people who have morning sickness as I'm starting to worry this pregnancy is going to disappear as quickly as it appeared! The only reason I took a pregnancy test was because of a missed period and I am always so regular so apart from that I feel as normal as I always have done! I'm currently 6+5 and I have just booked a private scan as I need the proof there is something definitely there!

You're getting upset reading other people's posts. Hormones! Congratulations, you're PG!

KatOD · 12/08/2013 23:09

Don't worry, I didn't feel anything for ages, certainly longer than 6+5, you'll be cursing yourself for wanting symptoms later on Wink (I ended up being really nauseous for the last few weeks, not great bending over a loo when you're huge). Congratulations! You'll shortly be struggling to stay awake...

I think I didn't really feel anything concrete until 3-4 months, when clothes got a bit tight, and when I lay face down on the bed there was a bump in my tum (very small)

Don't forget, before our modern early pregnancy tests, many women didn't know they were pregnant for sure until 2-3 months in.

On my third and yet to experience nausea or fatigue. Only symptom is sore boobs. Count yourself lucky!

joosiewoosie · 13/08/2013 05:57

Hello. I was fortunate enough to only feel nausea in the first trimester with my first DD. this time also I am lucky. I'm almost 8 weeks and apart from being hungry all of the time, I only feel the tiniest bit nauseous if my tummy is empty.
Try and enjoy your first trimester relatively symptom free, as so many people are afflicted with big sickness at this time!
I'd say definitely have a scan if it helps you feel happier that there's something there. I had one yesterday to measure a fibroid in my womb, and also saw a bean with a heartbeat which was lovely. It did reassure me that my crankiness is due to pg hormones and that I'm not losing the plot completely!Wink

I have 3 DCs. With the last i was 10 weeks preg before i took a test. I aught to know what being preg feels like by no.3 but had no idea till i took that test. (apart from the missed periods, like you) No symptoms at all :)

Naomilouise1992 · 16/08/2013 21:45

I only thought I cud of been pregnant because of sore boobs! I haven't had any sickness this time and had my 12 week scan 3 weeks ago and now I'm thinking is the baby okay!!! But there's no pain and no blood so just got to wait for the 20 weeks one might have the 16 week scan but not wanting to no the sex so don't know yet xxx

Trinpy · 16/08/2013 21:56

Like others, I'm 6+3 and no sickness. I even did another pregnancy test yesterday because I was so worried about my lack of symptoms!

You are pregnant, don't worry! And you're very lucky not to have any sickness. I hope you can relax and enjoy your pregnancy once you have your early scan Smile .

Sarahmains40 · 16/08/2013 22:13

I think even women is different one of my friends suffered every symptom she could with her first child then her second she had none. Two of my other friends didnt have many symtoms. I hope I don't get many but today I went to the sea side and I was nearly throwing up smelling the fishes off the boats. (Making me want to be sick now) I'm 6 weeks,

I think it all depends don't worry Grin

riskit4abiskit · 17/08/2013 09:24

Im 35 weeks and have been symptom less for nearly all this time! Now I am just starting with stomach acid refluxy stuff but thats about it. Am feeling rather lucky in comparison to most, so my advice is to enjoy it while you can!

Applepiesky · 17/08/2013 09:30

I'm 22+2 and apart from a bump, lots of movement and being in maternity clothes, I don't feel pregnant either! It's bloody great! Count yourself lucky that you're free from sickness etc and just enjoy it!
I really am loving it and now it's got to the stage where people are telling me I'm glowing. It's great to have compliments and enjoy the pregnancy without having to deal with all the crap that comes with it cos I have literally been symptom free! :-)

Try not to worry OP :-)

undertheboredwalk · 17/08/2013 09:39

Definitely have the scan if it will set your mind at ease, then be thankful for the lack if symptoms! I had none at all until I got a bump with DD1, am now 15 weeks with dc3 and have been horribly sick since before I even tested, it really is debilitating and horrible Hmm don't wish it upon yourself!
