Am considering a home birth for my baby due in November. Anyone else planning or considering one?

I'm feeling really quite excited about planning a home birth now. Have any of you had water births before? Sorry on phone so can't read back. Can't imagine what it's like! Am thinking that a pool will be nice to relax in anyway even if not in it for the final stage.

Had 2 water births - the first at an MLU and the second at home. The feeling of the warm water is incredibly soothing and the pool was great for swooshing about in between contractions, gave me a bit of distance from midwives and DH (I didn't like being touched in labour) and was fab to lean against and wallow about in. Plus my babies were all clean when they were born!

Lucky I've got one of these in my dining room right now
birth pool

It's been brilliant to relax in after a long day and take the weight off my hips and legs.

Hoping to give birth in it in the next couple of weeks so will let you know!

Tea - I didn't want to be touched in my first labour either! Bunny- what a posh pool :) sounds divine to be wallowing in it. My DS would make a right old mess if I had that set up. Do feed back on your birth. Would love to hear.
