im wondering how soon you all managed to feel your womb above pelvic bone?
i know technically im not meant to feel it before 12ish weeks but im sure today i can feel a firmness above my pubic bone and im only meant to be 8/9 weeks.
it is third one so maybe that cud explain it? i know i didnt feel it this soon with last two and wonderin exactly how right my dates are !

I felt mine at about 12 weeks (this is my first pregnancy)
I heard that with subsequent pregnancies things can happen sooner because your body 'knows' what to do so maybe that's why you can feel it?

Rockchick1984 · 07/08/2013 23:01

I'm 10 weeks with DC2 and can feel mine - had a scan 2 weeks ago so know my dates are right :)

SaggyOldClothCatPuss · 08/08/2013 03:31

The contents of your bladder can push the uterus upwards, so this could be why you are feeling it now.

CheeseFondueRocks · 08/08/2013 05:56

At about 13 weeks with DC2. Can't remember with DC1.

laura0007 · 08/08/2013 06:43

What am I feeling for? I'm 14+4 with DC1 and have no idea!

Kelly1814 · 08/08/2013 07:33

I think about 17 weeks....but didn't have a bump until 26.

keepitgoing · 08/08/2013 08:33

You would feel it earlier if it were twins in there... :)

I was 12/13 weeks too.

barebranches · 08/08/2013 08:47

whats this about feeling womb???? im 13 + 5 with dc1... leaning new things everydayGrin

keepitgoing · 08/08/2013 09:18

Feel just above your pubic bone, you can feel a fairly solid dome shaped thing. It moves upwards each week, and is around your belly button by 20 weeks.

neversleepagain · 08/08/2013 09:43

I discovered mine accidentally in the shower at around 8 weeks. I found it very strange that I could feel it so soon. It turned out to be twins :)

lozza22 · 08/08/2013 11:46

oh my god neversleep and keepitgoing, dont say that! this pregnancy was already an unplanned shock, i think i would be insane if it was twins!
Im hoping its more to do with a third pregnancy but noone coming forward who felt it this early yet that was'nt twins!
There must ne someone?

14+4 and I can't feel mine. I do have wide hips and I'm tall, if that makes any difference.

Natale28 · 08/08/2013 13:31

I could feel mine from 10 weeks and i'm 11 weeks now - have no idea whether it's twins or not but i did have awful sickness, the first sickness before my period was even missed and Doctor asked me if there are any twins in the family!x

KnackeredCow · 08/08/2013 13:37

8 weeks for me too, but yes, you've guessed it - twins.

lozza22 · 08/08/2013 13:51

jeez it doesnt sound too gud this, i really wouldnt want twins as i think three will be a handfull. i am almost sure of my dates though, i have a scan next thurs so i guess ile find out then.
eyorish i am also tall (6ft) with womanly hips so i dont think that matters, having said that i did cary quite neatly with first two, god im gona be massive with this one!
natale ive had no sickness at all but never have done previously so i dont know if thats an indicator or not but if your doc is thinking twins from feeling your womb at ten weeks then goodness knows what he wiuld make of mine!

I'm 10.5 weeks and I've been able to feel mine for at least a week, even with an empty bladder.

LyraSilvertongue · 08/08/2013 14:27

It's also my 3rd pregnancy.

lozza22 · 08/08/2013 14:54

lyra thats more positive, maybe it is due to it being third time. I can also feel it with empty bladder, keep checking just in case id imagined it but its still there.
