I'm 19 Wks and quite petite. As soon as i have a very small amount of food i feel full, sick and uncomfortable. I'm trying the small and often approach but I'm really struggling. Any one else going through the same thing ? Hmm

I seem to alternate between days where I could eat an elephant at every meal and days where I can't stomach more than a few mouthfuls Confused

sorry no advice but hope someone knowledgeable comes along soon for you

It's such an awful feeling. I feel like I'm going to burst. Plus worried about the effect on the baby x

Just try and relax and eat what you can. I had terrible Hypremesis with both DC's and barely ate some days, I was reassured by my midwife that baby takes what it needs first and you suffer so although its not great, you are doing no harm to your baby.

I'm 23 weeks and I have only recently started to get any form of appetite back.

The first 12 weeks there were days I didn't eat anything at all, and other days where I could only manage a couple of bites. It wasn't that I was sick, I haven't thrown up once yet, it was just that I wasn't hungry. I did get extremely tired though, it really knocks it out of you.

Mw said remember to take the vitamins and that appetite usually fluctuates but try small and often. They haven't weighted me since booking but I'm sure I lost weight to begin with and now even though I have a bump I don't feel like I'm showing I just feel like I'm back to how I was before lol. Anyway the bit that's meant to reassure you is that the mw said its normal, and at 23 weeks I can assure you my little guy has grown plenty and sits in there kicking like there's no tomorrow to remind me! I'm also finding now sometimes I won't be hungry but I try to eat so I have eaten something and after a couple of bites I could eat the entire contents of our fridge I just end up ravenous Grin! So hopefully your appetite will be back soon SmileThanks

I'm with you! I'm only 8 weeks or so- no sickness but the worst indigestion / wind and zero appetite.

Fruit and veg are a complete no go area- I can manage bread and butter or plain noodles. Dull dull dull. And not too healthy, I'm sure.

I oscillate between days when I could eat an entire supermarket and days where anything more taxing than crackers appals my stomach. I just eat what I can when I can, because like the pp I'm confident in the baby taking what it needs from me and me just dealing with it down the line. I'm 19 weeks and tall but very slender and athletic pre-pregnancy.

I'm short, so at 20w I think baby is already right under my ribs. Still seem to be able to eat ok but then feel like I've been inflated, its horrible and I don't remember this from last time.

The baby will get all it needs as long as you're drinking enough water and managing some food in the day. Have some small things in the fridge you can pick at so you don't have to eat big meals, and watch salt content s it will just make you feel more bloated bloody peanuts
