Hi all

I think I have morning sickness returning - beyond shattered, feel really sick and first day or two of mat leave have been utterly pants!!! The baby is transverse and I think all the prodding I had from midwife and acupuncturist yesterday didn't help the queasiness. Carrying this baby in a sideways position hurts!! Is anyone else nearing the end and finding its all getting a bit much?!?! I'm so grateful to be pregnant but god I'm knackered Wink xx

Hello, I'm 36 weeks and after an ill-advised day on my feet all day yesterday, on one f the hottest days of the year, I could have cried every time I looked down at my feet and ankles! My tummy ached, I was waddling, and I couldn't get comfortable in bed last night either. Don't despair - I think it'll partly be your mind and body sort of winding down now you've finished work, and the inevitable anticipation of getting v near due date, and starting to get a bit impatient!

FWIW, I really think if you can get it out of your mind about the presentation and lie, you'll feel much better. From everything I've read and been told, there's every chance your baby will turn during the last couple of weeks. I follow a hypnobirthing recommendation of having a picture on the bedroom wall of the baby in the optimal position for birth, and just try to notice it every time I pass it, which I find calming if nothing else :)

Other than that I'd suggest lots of nice cooling baths, getting as much rest as you can but still being active (maybe doing some swimming?) and also doing some yoga cat positions - that's meant to be good for getting babies into the right position.

Good luck and chin up! Nearly there x

Thanks Laquila - you're absolutely right, I need to get some positive thinking back and keep moving about. Fingers crossed the nausea goes and the tiny tot shifts position. Yesterday was comically hot (my feet were like enormous flippers!) - I hope it's a bit more cooled for you today xx
