Dwarfism/Downs Syndrome markers?

I'm working myself up into a right state and DP is at work so no use. I posted a week or so ago about slow fetal growth and tried to stay away from google but I failed and now I am panicking.

My growth scan at 32 weeks showed that the baby has a BPD measurement that is right at the top of the horizontal bar and the same for the head circumference (87mm and 320mm respectively). So the BPD is measuring 35 weeks and the HC 37 weeks.
The abdominal circumference is only at 270mm so 30 weeks and the femur length is right at the bottom of the horizontal bar showing it as 30 weeks as well.

Google says that a short femur length can be a downs syndrome marker. Other sites are saying it could be a dwarfism marker. At the 20 week scan everything was average sized though which is confusing me.

I do have the consultant tomorrow morning I'm just so worried I can't think straight. I don't know what to ask them or anything.

Has anyone heard about the femur length being a marker for anything?

My baby had short femur length at scan (right at the bottom of the graph). Wasn't mentioned by sonographer, however I noticed it, googled and diagnosed dwarfism and/or Down's syndrome. I made myself hysterical, called the midwife in floods of tears, and was in with a consultant the next day. He assured me that if the baby had these conditions, a short femur length would not be the only marker identified at this stage (I did have the combined testing that gave me a very low statistical chance of chromosomal conditions). He told me he was as certain as certain could be that there was nothing wrong with my baby. There wasn't Smile

Talk to your consultant, let him/her put your mind at rest.

Hope this is reassuring to you

Thank you. I declined the nuchal screening at the 12 week scan (can't even remember why I did) so I haven't even got that to reassure me. They did mention the slowed growth but as I had the consultant in a few days after the scan they decided not to send me up to the assessment unit.

I just want it to be tomorrow now so the consultant can put my mind at rest!

Hey kryptonite, how did it go? I've been thinking of you

Hi the consultant didn't seem worried about the measurements as everything is still technically in range. I have another scan in 2 weeks to check the growth.
