Best maternity skinny jeans?

I purchased some lovely over the bump ones from mamas &papas, but they are now tight near my c section scar but nowhere else which is frustrating. I'm 22 weeks, but I don't really want to buy another expensive pair. Any ideas? Smile

H&M is the answer!

GeordieCherry · 29/07/2013 14:52

Try Dorothy Perkins jeggings under your bump. Might not work with your c- scar but I just got these a size bigger

AnythingNotEverything · 29/07/2013 14:56

H&M for me too. Really comfy, long legs (great for me!) and cheap.

I had to size up though. Nothing to do with all the cake I've eaten.

suntodayplease · 29/07/2013 15:00

H&M hands down. Normally wouldn't go there for jeans, but their maternity ones are the only ones to stay up and don't look frumpy. The selection online tends to be better than in store so you might have to order to get the style you want. Yes to sizing up, very small sizing was so relieved to read others had similar issues with sizing

Ah skinny jeans, I vaguely remember them.

I bought some from Boden at 12 weeks but my bum didn't get in them past 20 weeks.

snickersnacker · 29/07/2013 16:10

YY to H&M - be prepared to go up two sizes.

TotallyEggFlipped · 29/07/2013 16:13

H&M, definitely, but I disagree with everyone who says you need to go up a size. Buy your normal size or possibly a size smaller if you want then very tight.

plentyofsoap · 29/07/2013 16:34

Its difficult as my legs and bum are the same size (for now) but I seem to be carrying quite low this time round so I will order a few sizes and see how I get on.

Dorothy Perkins are great for skinny jeans. Tight on the legs and big round the waist. I'm up from a size 8/10 to a 14. I'm intending on avoiding the maternity ones just as long as i don't go over size 18! X

Hello
I love the Topshop Leigh jeans, I bought them after a recommendation on here and have since recommended them to pregnant friends. Sizing comes up about right at 22 weeks, at 7 weeks (when I had to start wearing them!) my normal size was on the large side. If you get the navy pair though, wash them on their own at least twice, the second time I put them through they dyed all the white lace on my pants silver :(

TarkaTheOtter · 29/07/2013 18:53

I bought some size 14 h&m waxed skinny jeans this weekend. I normally wear a 10/12 and they were very tight. I am only 16 weeks and have lost weight this pregnancy so far. They look great though.

karinmaria · 29/07/2013 18:57

I loved the Topshop Leigh maternity jeans too. I think they're about £40. Asos also have some good maternity jeans and leggings. Both shops' jeans were still comfy at 38/39 weeks even though my bump was really low.

ALittleBitOfMagic · 29/07/2013 18:58

Yy H&M Smile

desertbaby · 29/07/2013 18:58

HandM!

Dusty04 · 29/07/2013 19:01

I've got topshop Leigh jeans too and love them. Bought my normal size.. They are a little big (am 18 weeks) but so comfy!

PeriodFeatures · 29/07/2013 19:04

Mama's and Papas have a sale on at the moment. Great Jeans in the for £15a few weeks ago.

Pinkpumpkins · 29/07/2013 19:35

Another vote for Topshop Leigh jeans! I love mine as they fit so well and are very comfy.

Jollyb · 29/07/2013 19:47

2 pairs of top shop Leigh jeans have just got me through this pregnancy. I wore them from 18 weeks and am still wearing them post c section as they sit quite comfily over my scar.

PetraBaelish · 29/07/2013 20:14

Oh I'm so glad I'm not the only one who finds H&M maternity jeans insanely small!! I have to buy them 2 sizes bigger than my normal jeans, at least - wore 26w jeans at the start of this pgcy but have to buy size 12 or 14 H&M jeans now at 16w; and seriously haven't gained THAT much!!
They are good looking jeans though Smile I also bought some other maternity trousers there; again very stylish and not much money.

Teaandflapjacks · 29/07/2013 20:17

like the others H&M - fabulous!!!

nomoreminibreaks · 29/07/2013 20:20

I have some seraphine ones that are in the sale (a purpley blue colour) and they're ok if I keep tumble drying them. However I'm going back to H&M based on what others are saying - I was so offended at how small they were last time when I tried my usual size but its good to know it wasn't just me Smile

plentyofsoap · 30/07/2013 08:11

thank you, there is quite a large h&m and topshop near me so will pop in and at least I can get an idea of sizes. I'm glad I have been pre warned about going a size up though!
