Stomach muscle pain and unusual morning sickness?

I'm 9weeks pregnant, sorry this is another - is this normal? Post.
I've been having dull pain (like period pain) which I understand is normal but I've also had a bit of an upset stomach (not full of diarrhea just pretty loose sorry tmi) but more often then feeling that I've got diarrhea with cramping and bloating. It occurred to me could this be my morning sickness? I have always been more likely to have an upset stomach than vomit.
Also, and I don't know if this is normal, but my stomach muscles really hurt. When I stretch they have been cramping lightly and they ache as if I've done lots of crunches (which I haven't). Should I be worried? Is this normal? What does it mean at only 9weeks he/she is the size of a little finger nail - surely they don't need that much room?

Can't tell you if it's normal, but I have almost identical symptoms and I'm 10 weeks. Don't think it's anything to worry about.

The muscle cramps are normal, its your uterus growing and your muscles and joints adjusting to make room. From what I understand your uterus grows much faster sooner than the baby at the beginning

Hi, i'm 9 weeks and i've had the same for the past week or so. I've read that although the baby is very small your uterus is growing and you may feel 'stretching'. I'm not a Doctor but from what i've read i'm not worried - if the pain is severe or you have bleeding then it'd be best to get it checked. Also, with regard to the toilet issues - i've read that some women suffer constipation and some have diarrhea - it's to do with the hormones apparently. Hope that helps a bit but if you're worried then there's no harm in phoning your midwife x

Thank you. Good to hear I'm not alone.
Natale28 good to hear of someone else at 9 weeks! I don't have a midwife though! I've seen the gp who said they'd arrange a booking appointment with the midwife. That was at 6 weeks and I've not heard anything. Have you got a scan date?

Yes i have my scan on 20th August. I've only had a short meeting with midwife but i'm seeing her to complete booking appt on 7th August. I think they do things differently in different areas. Have you had blood tests yet? I'd ring your Doctors just to see if they have a date for booking appt yet.

I think this website is excellent for meeting others at the same stage of pregnancy - it's my first baby so i have lots of questions and get worried about things as i don't know what's 'normal' hence all the reading i've been doing! Hope all runs smoothly for you x
