I had my 20 week scan today and all looks fine and healthy with baby, sonographer said he was 90% sure its a girl but if we buy any girly things to keep the receipt "just in case" I know they can never be 100% sure of the sex but if we/others buy girly things then i would want to wash them before putting them on the baby anyway and would rather do this in preperation rather then wait til she's born just to make sure, also many places only have a 28 day return policy and if we get gifts we probably won't be given the receipts. I know 90% is very high but can imagine preparing for a girl and getting a boy!

Congrats! People bought us tons of neutral stuff before our scan (it was on Wednesday, we're having a boy!) and I'm planning on tie dying it loads of awesome colours :) you could do that but 90% is pretty high :)

Congratulations Smile.

We're having a boy in November but we are still going with pretty neutral colours. There will be some blues in there obviously but DH doesn't want everything blue for a boy and everything pink for a girl. So if they are wrong about the gender (though I don't think they were it was pretty obvious Grin) then it's not gunna be too much of a problem.

Also tie dye is awesome Smile

I only just learnt that some places have very long returns policies - John Lewis says 90 days, Asda George: 100 days, Mamas and Papas: A Year! Doesn't get around receipt/washing problems but then knowing which size is also a problem regardless of sex. All a leap of faith! Smile

You will be swimming in pink, and may have a boy in the future, so hunt out the really lovely neutral stuff! Congratulations

My brother and sil had loads of scans before they had their baby as sil,had high blood pressure. They were told each time they were expecting a girl and bought pink stuff a plenty. When their gorgeous little boy popped out, they couldn't be bothered to return it as they were busy looking after their newborn and it has gone into storage for the next baby girl to arrive in our family!
