Just that really... I'm 38weeks, hot, sweaty & uncomfortable. I'm living off ice pops and sodding salad and I organised baby's clothes too early!! Funnily enough I don't think they'll really require the lovely little baby grows and cardigans that I stored and washed so lovingly :(

AND IF ONE MORE STRANGER TELLS ME THAT I MUST BE SOOOO UNCOMFORTABLE IN THIS HEAT I'M GOING TO LOSE THE PLOT ENTIRELY AND HIT THEM WITH A FISH!!

That's it really. Sorry for the grumble girls.

Ahh I really do feel for you! Im only six weeks so not as hot and bothered as you; but am still hating the weather. Ive never been keen on Summer and this year its Summer with Bells On and I just want to sit inside allll day.

JumpingJacks · 18/07/2013 13:56

You must be uncomfortable in this heat

Futterby · 18/07/2013 13:56

I hear you. 20+5 and melting.

Ficidy · 18/07/2013 14:03

36 weeks here and am just willing the next few weeks to hurry up!! I am sick of it. Absolutely had enough. I can't sleep at night, even though I have a fan blasting in my face and then when I get up, I can't do anything or I get dehydrated and feel sick.

I also wish people would stop going on and on about how wonderful it is!! Just shut up. You try carrying a whole other person with you 24/7 and then see how much you like it.

That felt good ;-)

CockyFox · 18/07/2013 14:05

Totally understand DS was born August 2006 and it was high 30s. I spent the last few weeks of my pregnancy spraying my self with a plant sprayer under a fan and sitting in the car with the air con on.

sheeplikessleep · 18/07/2013 14:10

I'm 34+1 and willing it to cool down.
I feel such a grump at the moment, I have no patience with my DSs and so irritable with DH. The house is a tip, but I just have no energy to clean up. I really should be nesting! And cooking meals to stock up the freezer too, but it's the last thing I feel like doing.
I'm just relieved that the afternoon school run finishes next week, that is an absolute killer, walking in the blazing sun.

fluffandnonsense · 18/07/2013 14:23

I've become a recluse. I don't leave the house until after 6pm otherwise I over heat and feel too sick Confused

Reebok · 18/07/2013 14:29

Yep I hear you! I'm 39+3 and feel like I'm dying. I was looking forward to having a summer baby and now I'm just so fed up. My feet are so swollen, I feel faint all the time and I'm sick of being indoors constantly to escape the heat!

MsFiremanSam · 18/07/2013 14:49

Ditto. 37+1 and absolutely HATING it. Hot, sweaty, sticky and SO uncomfortable. Can't get any jobs done and can't even relax with a box set because my lounge is so bloody hot. Bring back winter!!

Blurry29 · 18/07/2013 15:18

I'm 11 weeks and utterly miserable in this heat Confused

I hate it. Sweaty and uncomfortable all the time, it's taking my breath away.

Lets do a breeze dance Wink

PumpkinPie2013 · 18/07/2013 15:21

21 weeks and sick of it as well! I'm not even that big but
just feel boiling all of the time Angry
Can't sleep properly either as too hot no matter what I try.

To really put the icing on the cake we are not on mains water - we are on well water and it's starting to get low Sad

I want rain and cold!!!!

Bexmathews · 18/07/2013 15:31

Me too 37 + 2 and I nearly cried today after walking for just 5 mins in the sun I was so hot and legs were hurting so much!?!

RedRobin1 · 18/07/2013 15:49

15w and waiting impatiently for thunderstorms and rain to soak this bloody country. In fact I might actually go and have a dance in the rain when it eventually does!

I had severe morning sickness a few weeks back and it was bloody unbearable with the weather. Felt nauseous everytime I left the house.

I now sit with my curtains closed in the lounge to block out all sunshine and its much more cooler. Same for bedroom so its not roasting at night. Oh and I highly recommend cold showers before bed time to cool off!

weebarra · 18/07/2013 15:52

32+5 and not doing too well. Not helped by the fact that DS1 keeps asking me to play cricket with him in the back garden.

yellowsnownoteatwillyou · 18/07/2013 15:54

Sooooo hot! 37 +5 baby keeps pretending he's coming out with mega sore contractions then nothing.

I have spd as well so not going out, yesterday I lay with fan on wrapped in a sheet after a cold shower, even then was all sweaty. Hmm

pegster · 18/07/2013 16:21

Only 25 w but really struggling with dizziness when I'm out & about in the heat. Getting unnecessarily cross with my 22m DS when he's running about because chasing him to come back is killing me!
Feel like my 22 hours a week in work are a relief because at least there's air conditioning (& DS is the child minders responsibility). Such a shame because I'm such a sun worshipper normally

lozza22 · 18/07/2013 16:31

Yep im fed up now and to top it off i have a hol booked in spain for four weeks time wen all i really want to do is get away from the sun, im prayin for rain before then just for a break! Im only six weeks so certainly not big but its still bad enuff without that factor. I was heavily pregnant in summer 2006 with my daughter and remember how rubbish that felt, so u ladies near term im feelin for ya. Im actually quite relieved this will be a winter pregnancy cos my son was august baby to

Lydia161290 · 18/07/2013 17:30

Yup! 39 weeks and feeling very hot and bothered today too. I can't keep cool, i'm snappy with DP and pretty sure i'm having a few contractions!
:( There's been a few times I've wanted to just cry.

SupermansBigRedPants · 18/07/2013 17:41

Df is now sick of me crying because I'm too hot and irritated Blush the past week I just whinge and then cry :( I can't bear the heat at the best of times - being 36+3 isn't helping! Late pregnancy is being annoying enough - growth scans, blood tests, iron drips, more scans .. ok I live minutes from the hospital and can happily walk it but it is still extra torturous in this heat :(

hippoesque · 18/07/2013 18:25

weebarra I've got a 3 year old DS who has suddenly become obsessed with cricket. I spent half an hour okay trying to convince him to watch daddy's cricket on Sky+... He was having none of it!!

misskatamari · 18/07/2013 18:38

Definitely sick of the heat! I'm only 10+6 but have been suffering with horrible sickness and the heat just makes it worse. I really feel for you ladies who are far along and have to cope with big bumps in this weather Hmm

DH ordered a turbo fan yesterday but has been emailed today that they're out of stick NOOOOOOOOO I'm going to melt!!!

Gerty1002 · 18/07/2013 19:05

33+6 and hating it. The past few nights I've been reduced to tears - zero sleep, zero comfort and still got a good few weeks to go!

If it wasn't too early I think I'd even contemplate dtd with DP to get this baby out. Though not sure labour or having a newborn are preferable options in this heat, but at least I'd feel more purposeful.

beachesandbuckets · 18/07/2013 20:19

35.5 weeks with twins, very short temper, feet swollen overnight, dcs annoying me greatly, working quietly in the office is my only respite. Praying for cool weather.

Mayanbob · 18/07/2013 20:23

YES. 35+1 Took 4 weeks leave before mat leave starts to put the house in order, but it's too hot to do anything. I have low blood pressure, so if I move for more than about 5 mins I see stars and feel so giddy I need to sit down. As a result, house (flat actually) is not remotely in order at all. All of baby stuff is in hall in boxes, my bedroom is full of clothes, and the 'baby area' of spare room/ DH's office is full of crap.

Can't go out- too hot- and can't do stuff at home. It's roasting in here. (2nd/ Top floor flat). Plus baby is transverse and I was told to go for a 'long brisk walk each day to encourage it to turn'. Now I can't do that and am paranoid that i'm going to have to have a C section. Plus I still haven't heard about my NHS antenatal classes and am terrified that i've been forgotten -despite me checking with midwife at each appointment. I want to cry but can't.

Sorry for mega rant. I think I might be sleep deprived and going a bit loopy.

foolssilver · 18/07/2013 20:55

I feel exactly the same!

I'm so hot and bothered, can't sleep and don't fancy eating anything at all.

I am usually one for sitting out in the sun but I've avoided it all together.

Bring on autumn!
