Can't say I feel the same! I'm the opposite, quite proud that I haven't gotten any stretch marks on my bump. I get well happy when people say I'm carrying well. Got stretch marks on my boobs though and some on my bum though. Boo.

AnythingNotEverything · 17/07/2013 11:51

I didn't have any until 37 weeks with dc1 ... Then within a week the underside of my bump was covered in them.

There's plenty of time yet!

im happy with my stretch marks obviously not everyone's the same. some people work hard to get there body back to the same point before pregnancy. but i guess im different i can't wait to tell my children stories about themselves when they was in my belly and show them the marks they left. so in the future if they get stretch marks they can be confident with them and explain to there children that every scar comes with a story

Erm, I would be stoked not to have any more stretch marks. No one is going to know which baby created which stretch mark!

Quodlibet · 17/07/2013 12:49

Maybe think of it as your skin 'learning' how to make your world big enough for children? Numbers 1 and 2 have paved the way for number 3 and you and your body 'know' about babies now.
I think it's great to celebrate your stretch marks - that is a truly liberated attitude.

lisaleigh1986 · 17/07/2013 13:47

i know what stretch marks are from what child because theres an age gap and the fresher ones are darker in colour, and with there being a 5 year gap this time i know all of the stretch marks i already have i mean ive looked at them for long enough, i still remember getting my 1st one 8 years ago. i am proud of them my babies have made them and il die happily with them :)

Lovely to have such a positive attitude OPSmile

NumberTwoDue · 17/07/2013 15:56

Never thought of it that way, OP, but will be from now on!

mamachelle · 17/07/2013 18:27

iv only just had additional stretch marks from dc4 (due tomorrow) in the last week and i am strangely glad i got them too.

my dds 9,8 and 4 know who did which "scratches" and will often chat to me about them, i like that.

workingonitagain · 17/07/2013 18:55

I'll be happy if I don't get any more this time around. im sure I will not notice if there is 1 or 2 more tho Smile as after a while they'll go all go white. I think i'll have additional circles and bags under my eyes to show off tho Wink

Must admit I already have a couple of stretch marks despite only being 13 weeks, and did get a bit excited about it when I first saw them. I know I'll probably get them eventually but just now they're my proof that I have a baby in there and that things are happening

Anothermrssmith · 17/07/2013 19:51

That should say hate them eventually, lol

workingonitagain · 17/07/2013 20:25

just remembered i had loads of srechmarks from before having dc from purely being fat. have to admit it was very easy to blame the pregnancy for them Smile
