Pain and tightening in stomach....normal??

Hi
I am now 21 weeks and 3 days and I have been getting a strange pain in my stomach over the last couple of days. My whole stomach seems to tighten up and go really hard and it hurts a little. It's not agony more uncomfortable. It only lasts a few seconds each time. But has happened a few times now.
I should also say I am currently on holiday and it was a 10 hour flight to get here. Hoping this hasn't caused anything.
Is this normal or is it something to worry about? Xxx

Sounds like Braxton hicks, practice contractions. Totally normal and part of the prep for labour

Agree it sounds like bh. Being dehydrated can cause them sometimes so drink plenty of fluids.

I remember being fascinated when it went hard like that, such a strange feeling

Braxton Hicks, definitely. I get them loads!

Does sounds like BH, drink loads of water, and stay out the sun for a day or 2.

Thanks everyone! Thought it was that but thought it too early x

been having these since 15 weeks! makes no difference even if i drink gallons of water.

mine were triggered in the first instance by a UTI with no symptoms (bladder then got irritated and started the BH) so it is worth getting this checked out.

Thanks Kelly. It's my first so don't really know what to expect and always thought braxton hicks came a few days before labour so had panicked a little. Will get checked when I get home though to make sure. Xxx
