pregnancy feet

So my feet have basically been on fire for about 3 days now. Firey, swollen and thick, only after walking (so don't think it's a major issue) but I really need a solution.
Do someone sell gel cooling shoe inserts? What are you doing? Bathed my feet on bags of frozen fruit (no ice left) outside the hospital the other day, but I can't carry frozen goods with me forever...

Have you seen your mid wife? I only ask as swollen feet after walking were the first signs of pre eclampsia for me. No other signs at all apart from traipsed bp when I got checked. I'm sure you're fine but please get checked x

Cooling foot spray might help - Boots and Body Shop definitely do it. My feet are little enormous flippers...they are huge at the moment. I'm just trying to put them up when I get home, and wearing flip flops whenever possible. You can buy gel inserts for shoes and chill them in the fridge...no hope of fitting my fat feet in the shows afterward tho!!! Xx

How far along are you? I'm with valiumredhead; I don't wish to panic you but your MW might want to check you over for pre-eclampsia or obstetric cholestasis.

I'm in the same boat - I have wrinkles on my wrinkles and the skin is sore and stretched. I've been checked by two mid-wives and a dr who have confirmed no pre-eclampsia - it's good to get checked out but its not the only symptom.

I'm 24 weeks... Hadn't thought about the pre-eclampsia. Isnt that about right for this stage? Suddenly came on with the hot weather so assumed was part of the same thing x

Mine came on at 26 weeks.

yes, do get checked but I get this all the time when pregnant and have not had pre-eclampsia. I would still advise phoning your midwife though, better safe and all that.

My ankles are bulging today, it is truly disgusting and painful. I have been sitting with my feet in a bucket of water

I do keep thinking about those foot spas... Gentle mesage and bubble and coolness, just sounds lovely. I think it may well be one of those things I could add to the 'nice but not necessary' pregnancy pile. Only have so much storage for later!
