Stretch marks appearing in early pregnancy :(

I'm currently 12+5 with my first baby (after a looooooong journey but that is another story). My boobs have gone up 2 cup sizes already and although they have never been super perky, they kind of held their own in a good quality bra. Now they feel so heavy though and I'm having to wear soft bras at night too as any time bra-less is really painful with my giant new knockers flopping around.

Last night was really hot and I went without and then I woke up this morning to see a bunch of horrible purple stretch marks on one of my breasts! Shock

I had always worried about getting stretch marks on my belly later on but on my boobs at 12 weeks seems really unfair!

So I guess I'm asking an "am I normal?" type question. Has this happened to anyone else? Did I cause it by leaving my poor boobs unsupported for one night?

Is there any going back or once the boobs start to drop is that pretty much it?

I'm 34 weeks and my boobs got loads of purple stretch marks at 12 - 14 weeks. But they have mostly faded now and are all but invisible.

The belly ones started last week, only a couple of small ones so far.

I've bio-oiled and moisturised religiously every day - some women get them and others don't, no amount if moisturising seems to help if you are predisposed to get them. I found wearing a sports bra in bed at 12 weeks was more comfortable - but it didn't stop the stretch marks I'm afraid.

Thanks Bunnylion. It is good to know the ones you got at 12-14 weren't the start of more continiously appearing all the time!

Oh god I'm glad it isn't just me! I'm on constant stretch mark alert and like you am having trouble adjusting to the incredible size change with my boobs. I'm 17 weeks and need to get myself to the shops to buy new underwear this weekend as I'm finding it painful in bed too (sounds like I need something soft and supportive) My boobs are starting to look a bit 'vainy' too (oh so attractive) so I'm not sure it will be long before the stretch marks appear. Not happy - but guess it is asking a lot of your body with so much change in such little time!
